I’m Hayes Bauer

I'm Hayes Bauer — founder of Upscape and a student at Staples High School in Westport, CT.

I started Upscape to bring thoughtful, modern landscape lighting to local homes at a fair price. We're a small, family-run Connecticut company: I lead every project from the first design walkthrough through the final aiming, and my dad partners with me on operations and customer experience.

Our approach is design-first. Good landscape lighting shouldn't shout — it should make your home feel warm, layered, and effortless after dark. I handle the design, the lighting plan, the fixture selection, and on-site project management during the install. The electrical work itself is performed by our licensed Connecticut electrical contractor, who I work alongside on every job.
